254. How I Scaled from 30K to 150K Months in One Year

Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Behind the Business. Today I am super excited because I’m going to be sharing with you how I scaled from 30k per month to 150k per month in a 12-month period. That is a 5x growth if my math is correct there and it just happened so rapidly. It felt especially fast when I had a big breakthrough, which would have been about April 2025 I believe. A lot of the growth actually happened between April and December of 2025. So it happened really quickly and I can’t wait to break down exactly what I did and what shifted for me to go from being stuck at those 30 to 40k months consistently for a couple of years—honestly, I really felt like I had plateaued—to ramping things up consistently and getting to those consistent 100k months and then very close to a 150k month right before the year ended, which was so awesome.

Before I dive in, just a quick life update. It’s been a while since I recorded a podcast episode. As you know, I have new episodes that come out every week, but right before the Christmas break I had batch recorded 6 episodes because I knew I wasn’t going to jump straight back into content in the new year. I was going away with family and easing into things. I love to be organised so you can have that consistency, but I don’t have to be on all the time. I’ve run out of episodes so here we are, and I’m honestly really excited because a lot has happened since those December recordings.

We are now at the end of January, and by the time this episode comes out, it’ll be the very beginning of February. I had a beautiful Christmas and a lovely start to January. We didn’t start supporting clients again until the 5th of January, and we just eased into things and kicked off with a bang. It’s been an amazing month for not just me, but my clients too. Mid-January, I went away again with Geordie’s family—we stayed in Noosa, got a big Airbnb, went surfing and to the beach. I didn’t really work that week, yet we’ve still made over $100,000 for January with a couple of days left. Super grateful. One year ago in January was my slowest month—I barely cracked $30k, and it was mostly recurring revenue. Now, we’re bringing in sales most days of the week, which is incredible.

Because we’ve had such rapid growth in November, December, and now January, I’ve been hiring like crazy. That’s been really challenging for me—it’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt uncomfortable in my business. But it’s not wrong—doing new things brings discomfort. It’s normal. I’ve validated the feeling, but it doesn’t mean it’s not uncomfortable. Learning how to properly hire, train, and delegate is tough. The team I’ve had up until now has been very self-reliable. Now I’m hiring appointment setters and sales closers—it’s a different beast. I’ll do a whole episode on that next week.

Now let’s dive in. First, the massive thing that helped me break out of the plateau at 30k months was releasing a limiting belief. Around April, I caught up with my coach friend Sam. We went over my business and she helped me see I had a belief that anything above 30k per month would be stressful, exhausting, and I’d lose my freedom. She questioned that belief—was it really true? I realised it wasn’t. I knew people earning 300k or even a million per month who are happy and free. That realisation changed everything.

The very next month I hit $60k. Then the month after that, $83k. Then my first $100k month. That mindset breakthrough catapulted the business. If you have beliefs that money is bad, or that scaling is selfish or hard, or that you’re not good enough—you’re going to struggle to grow. I had to move through those money blocks. One subtle one was assuming more income meant more problems. But really, I just had to learn how to handle those challenges like a CEO—delegate, systemise, and not take them personally.

Second, I doubled down on paid traffic. I scaled to a million dollars all organically, and then hired an ads manager. The first year we figured it out slowly, but once I shifted my mindset around spending money and started tracking ROI instead of fearing ad spend, things changed. We got more leads, which meant more calls, more clients, and more income. My niche was clear, conversions were solid—I just needed more volume. Paid traffic solved that.

Third, I stopped doing a different event every month. I ran the same event every single month and mastered it. Especially with paid ads bringing in new leads constantly, it worked. We no longer had to reinvent the wheel with different scripts, pitches, pages, and emails. We just update the date and go again. It’s now a well-oiled machine and we know it converts. It saved time, simplified everything, and boosted revenue.

Fourth, I started making data-based decisions. I used to avoid numbers. Failed math all my life, had some trauma around it, and avoided looking at data in business. But once I got over that and started actually tracking bottlenecks and solving for them, everything changed. We now make logical, not emotional, decisions. I help my clients do the same and it’s a game changer.

And lastly, I got more support. Not just a coach—I’ve always had that—but inside my business. I hired more appointment setters, sales closers, and a support coach. This gave me time and energy back. In early 2025, I just had my VA, ads manager, and one setter. Now we have a team supporting the growth. That’s been massive.

Those are the big shifts that took me from 30k to 150k months in under a year. I know this year will be even bigger with the support and systems we have now. I hope you took something away from this episode. If you’d like help starting or scaling your business, book a call with me or one of my scale specialists using the link below.
