220. How I Had An $83K Cash Month Without Working More

Hello, hello and welcome back to Rising Coaches with Sofia Bernardi.

Today I want to share something really exciting with you — in the month of May 2025, I had my first $83,000 cash month in my coaching business. And while that result, to me, is huge, I want to talk about the lessons that actually got me here.

Because this didn’t come from working more, posting more, finding some secret strategy, or doing something drastically different. If anything, this was actually the month I showed up the least on social media.

So let’s talk about it — how I had my biggest cash month in business, and the biggest lessons I learned from it.

This has been one of the harder months I’ve experienced in my business in a long time. I’ll be honest — most of the time, I’m very comfortable, happy, and content in my business. But May brought some challenges.

And yet, it was also my biggest month. That’s not a coincidence.

As you grow, you have to learn to hold more — more complexity, more uncertainty, more emotion, more responsibility — and not let it collapse you.

The version of me who could only hold success when everything felt perfect would never have made it here. May reminded me that things don’t have to be aligned and polished 24/7. It’s about how well you lead yourself through the mess — through the duality of both success and challenge coexisting.

For years, I hovered around consistent 30k months. Sure, I had a few 40k or 50k months — but I’d always return to 30k. It felt safe, easy, profitable, and steady. But deep down, I knew I was playing it safe.

It wasn’t until a conversation with my friend Sam that I realized I had stories running under the surface: “More money means more pressure, more work, less freedom.” None of it was true, but those beliefs were unconsciously keeping me stuck.

I started doing the inner work again — journaling, talking with my coach and friends, clearing my money blocks. The result?

I jumped from a 30k month to a 67k month, and then to $83,000 in May. Because now, I was a match for it. It wasn’t about a new strategy — it was about expanding my mindset and capacity to hold more.

Too many business owners change their strategy, niche, messaging, or offer the moment something doesn’t work. They never let things stack.

My $83,000 month wasn’t from a viral post or one-time surge. It was from years of consistency, optimizing what worked, and letting revenue compound. Many of those clients are on long-term payment plans — which builds reoccurring income over time.

If I had given up every time I didn’t hit a big goal instantly, I’d never have gotten here. This result came from playing the long game, not chasing instant gratification.

All the things I feared about scaling — more payment failures, client cancellations, needing to let go of misaligned clients — actually happened. And I survived.

In fact, I believe those challenges were a test from the universe. They showed me that I can hold it all — the good and the hard — and still succeed. That’s what scaling is: it’s not about avoiding fear, but building your ability to navigate through it.

Now I have systems, support, and mindset resilience in place. I no longer fear those challenges. I’ve grown through them.

It wasn’t doing more. I actually did less in May — less posting, fewer live videos. My capacity was going elsewhere — into systems, mindset, support.

The real difference was the lessons, the inner work, and the expansion of my capacity.

That’s what allowed me to receive more than ever before. And I know it’s just the beginning.

Thank you for being here — I love you guys, and I’ll see you in the next episode!
