276. Lessons Behind A 225K Month

It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon as I sit in my cozy homemade podcast studio, looking out at the sunshine, fresh off a walk and a trip to the local markets with my man. My heart is bursting with gratitude, because my business just wrapped up its biggest milestone to date: a $225,000 cash month.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Exactly one year ago, I hit my first $100k month. To see that we have more than doubled that number in 12 short months is completely wild. I am fully regulated to it now, but I never want to forget that this is an extraordinary amount of abundance to hold in a 30-day window.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
But I am not here to just share the highlight reel.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
If I am being completely honest with you, June was also the hardest month of my business journey. I was thrown a 50-50 mix of incredible sunshine and massive thunderstorms. From firing a team member for the first time to navigating heavy client boundary issues and dealing with expensive tech failures—it was a true masterclass in leadership.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Making a lot of money does not have to mean hard work and exhaustion. But scaling will test your capacity. Here are the 4 key lessons I learned while holding a quarter-of-a-million-dollar month.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣

  1. You Must Hold the Duality of Scale⁣⁣⁣
Some months in business will feel like complete sunshine and rainbows. Others will feel like a massive thunderstorm. But as you step into premium scaling, you will experience seasons that are a heavy mix of both.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
If you want to hold 30k, 50k, or 100k+ months, you must build the capacity to handle inconveniences without spiraling into a reactivity loop. During my highest revenue month, I was putting out eight fires before 9:00 AM.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Regulate Your System: Don’t let your decisions come from panic or reactivity.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Find the Humor: When a tech issue ruined half of my high-end video shoots and internet trolls flooded a workshop format that usually gets rave reviews, my team and I chose to FaceTime and laugh. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Expect the Stretch: Challenges don’t mean you are doing something wrong; they mean your business is expanding.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Takeaway: Your readiness for a massive cash month is directly tied to your ability to remain grounded when things go wrong.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
  2. Knowing Your Values Makes Fast Decision-Making Easy⁣⁣⁣
I was presented with a very serious situation recently that required a major executive decision. While the execution of the decision was difficult, choosing what to do was incredibly easy. Why? Because I know my values inside and out.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
True alignment isn’t about what you say; it’s about what you do when you are put under pressure. Through these challenges, I realized there are three things I value far more than money:⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
My Clients: Protecting the integrity, safety, and standard of my coaching spaces will always come before a paycheck.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
My Sanity: I will happily say no to the wrong client or turn down money if it costs me my nervous system regulation, my freedom, or my clear calendar.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
My Team: I invest heavily in my team’s skillsets and education because when they win and make money, it fulfills me deeply.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Takeaway: Build a distinct hierarchy of personal and business values. When you know what you stand for, decision-making speed accelerates dramatically.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
  3. Delegating Must Be Your Best Friend (Do It Before You’re Ready)⁣⁣⁣
As your business grows, your capacity naturally gets taken up. A lot of coaches think “spacious scaling” means never being busy. The truth is, when your business doubles, capacity fills up again. That is your cue to delegate further—not to sit back and complain.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
I noticed my calendar filling up with sales calls. Instead of accepting the ceiling, I took action:⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Invest in the Best Support: I didn’t have the time to train a new sales closer myself, so I paid my sales coach premium money to train her up instead.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Look at Gain, Not Cost: The invoice was scary, but I focused on what I would gain—my time, my energy, and better results.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
The Result: She closed 5 premium clients in her first 24 hours, and I am officially stepping 100% away from sales calls this week.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Takeaway: Stop trying to wear every hat. Delegate the things you don’t need to do so you can stay in your zone of genius: client delivery and content creation.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
  4. Sometimes You Take a Step Back to Propel Forwards⁣⁣⁣
In June, I intentionally took a step back from my usual spaciousness to work long hours, rewrite SOPs, simplify the back end of the business, and elevate the curriculum for my Scale School clients.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
It was a heavy project-based month, but I knew I was putting in the hard yards intentionally to set up a streamlined, spacious, and highly profitable rest of the year.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
If you are feeling the stretch right now, look at where you can simplify, automate, and pass the baton to your team.⁣⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣⁣
Ready to build a highly scalable, systemized coaching business that allows you to experience massive financial months without sacrificing your sanity?
