Hello and welcome to another episode of Behind the Business. I am so excited about this episode because I’m going to be sharing something that might be uncomfortable to hear, but also the exact truth that you may need to set you free in business.
Because here’s the truth: most coaches will never make it to 30K months. And that hurts my heart. That pains me to say. And in the same breath, I know that it doesn’t need to be this way. That is why I’m so excited about today’s episode—not to discourage you, but because I’ve seen it time and time again in my own journey and through coaching hundreds of coaches.
These are two specific reasons why many coaches plateau or even give up before they ever hit that level in their business. And I want more coaches to experience not just a 30K month here and there, but consistent 30K months and beyond—because that is so possible when you have the right support and the right approach in place.
I never would have believed or dreamed that I would be sitting here today making $100,000 cash per month—but here we are because of these two things. I’m really excited because when you know these two reasons, you can make different choices. You can decide to be the exception.
So today, I’m walking you through the two big reasons that most coaches never reach 30K months. And to be honest, reason number two might sting a little, but I want you to take discernment here—and if you let it sink in, it has the power to change everything for you.
But before we jump in, I want to share a quick personal update. In the last week, I’ve just felt really settled in our new place. I’ve been on my own this week—Jordi has been away traveling—and it’s kind of felt like a long retreat. I did have a friend come stay for the weekend from Brisbane, and we went walking, shopping, dinner…it was beautiful.
So yes, really settled in the new place. I’ve got some exciting trips coming up: Sydney for a best friend’s wedding, then Adelaide for Jordy’s 30th. I’ve been upgrading our home furniture—a beautiful king‑size bed frame arrived, we sold our couch (so need a new one asap!).
On the business front, I’ve been signing so many aligned clients—clients I genuinely feel drawn to, excited by their passion and personality. We’ve signed a new client every day this week into Scale School tier 2, which includes one-on-one support and all the high-touch strategies. We’re nearly at capacity for those spots—DM me scale school if you’re curious.
I also announced a two‑day in‑person retreat at my home (November 1–2). It’ll be intimate—just 15 coaches. We’ll map out scaling plans, have a Pilates instructor, morning walks, dinners, an ads training, photographer, videographer, content, goodie bags—and more. If you’re interested and can travel to Nusa (Sunshine Coast), DM me retreat and I’ll send you the details—early bird pricing is crazy affordable.
Alright. Now let’s dive into Reason Number One why most coaches don’t reach 30K months.
Reason One: Most coaches are trying to grow a business using a model that wasn’t designed for them. Many copy what someone else is doing—or what worked years ago—or chase what Instagram tells them is the “best strategy.” If that model doesn’t align with your goals, strengths, or lifestyle, it leads to burnout and failure. A model can work—but if it doesn’t feel good for you, it won’t be sustainable. For me, cold DM’ing all day works for many—but not for me. It doesn’t align with my energy, design, or values. So even if it worked once, could I repeat it? No.
The trap: you’re forcing a square‑peg‑into‑a‑round‑hole. You need a model that feels clear, energising, and sustainable. I invested hundreds of thousands into different coaches, loved them, but eventually said: “None of this feels good.” I stopped looking externally and asked myself what felt aligned for me. It was live events. So I doubled down on the model that felt right. The result? My business exploded—because it was aligned, simple, sustainable, and scalable. Reason One: you need a business model that works and feels good for you.
Now Reason Number Two (this one might sting): you don’t want it badly enough. The universe doesn’t give you what you want—it gives you what you’re a match for. To truly match 30K months requires more than hope—it requires bold, consistent, intentional action. Too often coaches wait until they “feel ready”: more confident, less burnt out, more qualified. Or they invest in something that feels productive but doesn’t move the needle. If you truly want it, you find a way. Comfort = no growth. Growth is uncomfortable. In the beginning 30K months won’t feel comfortable—but now? It’s my bare minimum.
So if you don’t have both: the right model + consistent, uncomfortable, bold action—you’re unlikely to reach 30K months. But when you have both—that’s where the magic happens. Scaling isn’t luck—it’s having an aligned model and showing up AND doing what’s required, consistently, for months. That’s how I built to 100K months. You can too.
So ask yourself:
- Is your business model sustainable, simple, scalable—and aligned with you?
- Are you willing to take the uncomfortable, bold, intentional action required?
If yes—keep going. If not—honor that, or make a different decision. Success isn’t reserved for the lucky—it’s for the coaches with the right model and relentless aligned action. I say this with love and belief in you.
If you’d like help with your model or support, DM scale to chat—we currently have open spots in my programs. I’d love to support you.
